I can't believe I didn't realise this immediately when I saw Mao's image for the new single Rain. The jacket he wore is exactly the same as Matsujun's image for Troublemaker!!
While Matsujun sort of has a noble kind of feel, Mao looks like a host (whose stares can kill people!). It's such a coincidence that they're both the ドS representatives of their group/band XD

Arashi no Shukudaikun has come to an end after three and a half years and it's also the end of Arashi having a variety show at the midnight time slot. That's the thing I'm going to miss the most because it's only during this time slot that they can do silly (and sometimes stupid) things, like wearing stockings on their heads, wearing chikubi aki t-shirts, playing silly games in Aibaland, the various cosplays, Aiba sugoroku, A no Arashi, etc. and I feel that they showed us their most natural side...that they're just normal boys who love eating and goofing about without worrying about their image, eg. Sho kun for being a fail in sports and art.
Thank you to the staff who have been with them through these 8 years starting from Mayonaka no Arashi --> C no Arashi --> D no Arashi --> G no Arashi --> Arashi no Shukudaikun. Without them, Arashi probably wouldn't be who they are now. They've definitely raised Arashi's awareness towards variety shows and how to entertain the audience. Ogura san, thank you for your kindness towards the boys. Even though you've only worked with them since Arashi no Shukudaikun, you've become someone like a guardian angel whose always looking out for them.
Hopefully they'll make a comeback to the midnight time slot in the future. うだうだでゆるい感じの嵐が大好き!

As expected, Arashi ranked No.1 and SID ranked No.2 in the single daily ranking. Congratulations! Love both the singles, so I'm glad they ranked in the top 2. Hope they'll both achieve even more sales in the week.

Got the magazine today!! Luckily didn't have to wait too long for Kinokuniya to stock it. I'm surprised at how fast they arrived here since it only went on sale 2 days ago in Japan. Must congratulate Kinokuniya this time for their efficiency because I was getting impatient.
There were some embarrassing moments in the bookstore when I went to buy it. First, there were 2 Japanese guys standing near the shelf where the magazine was. Although they sort of had their back towards me, it was still a bit embarrassing when I reached for the magazine, in case they saw me out of the corner of their eyes. Not that I should care what they thought about me if they saw me...maybe it's because they're Japanese, that's why I got a bit self-conscious.
When I went to pay for the magazine, I gave it to the cashier with the front cover facing down so that she can scan it. As I was getting money out of my wallet, I think she turned the magazine over and saw the cover. How embarrassing! She was probably thinking why is this girl buying a magazine with a naked guy on the front cover (LOL). By that time, I just wanted to leave as fast as I could, so I just dumped the change and receipt into my bag, grabbed the magazine and walked out very quickly. Mission accomplished *breathes a sigh of relief*

It's only January and I've already bought several months' worth of magazines in the past week, mainly due to the magazine sale at Kinokuniya. It seems such a bargain when the older magazines are 70% or 80% off. I wouldn't buy some of them at the original prices because they were so expensive...although the high prices didn't stop me from buying +act, Look at Star and GQ...haha.

Here's another interview, but this time it's Nino.
=============
'This is the last.' Prepared for Each Time
'I'm not interested in acting.' The actor, Ninomiya Kazunari, who's starring in the drama "Ryuusei no Kizuna" frankly said. He is gaining high acknowledgement with his acting in the movie "Iwojima Kara no Tegami" and in numerous dramas.
'But,' he continued. 'When I'm called, I'll try my best. Each time, I'll think this is my last work, and including the enjoyment and difficulties, there are no regrets as I'm doing everything to completion.' Even though it has been approximately 1 year since starring in a drama, he said during that period, there was truly no feeling of "I want to act".
The drama is a dramatisation done by Kudo Kankuro of Higashi Keigo's best-seller novel. The plot remains the same, being the three siblings, Koichi (Ninomiya), Taisuke (Nishikdo Ryo) and Shizuna (Toda Erika), whose parents were killed when they were young and searching for the truth of the incident while continuing to live. Adding a touch of comedy, the sympathetic mentalities the siblings have for each other is clearly portrayed.
Even with the script in his hand, he said he has never by himself let his imagination expand beforehand. 'Because I can continue to feel the atmosphere and the relationship that is created by the people who I act with.' He acts on the feelings that come from being face to face with others. As well as grasping his acting, his way of speaking changes to respond to the person who he is talking to.
Entering Johnny's jimusho, he has appeared in dramas since he was 14 years old. Although he dreamed of being a stage play producer and there was a time when he considered studying abroad in America, he made his CD debut as a member of Arashi in 1999. He has actively participated in dramas, songs and variety shows.
Although approaching his late 20s and his popularity is rising furthermore, you can feel he isn't getting carried away. 'I don't think the current situation will last forever. From now on, I think it would be good if I can continue working as an adult.'
The comment next to his photo: 'Just acting the role of an older brother is hard. I'm actually glad I'm the youngest.'
